How do we reach our goals
The Hillcrest Villagers Junior Rugby club (HVJR) was established in 1970 and was initially formed to cater for boys wanting to play rugby outside of the school season in the Upper Highway area. The motto of the club has always been “through rugby we unite” and this has been embodied in our mission statement, which speaks volumes for the type of rugby club that we strive to be.
HVJR has been active ever since and the numbers grew every season where we currently boast approximately 270 active members from ages 7 through to 18. Forest Hills Sports club is currently home to HVJR, where we have the use of two rugby fields, two change rooms and a club house, which caters for the players’ needs. Our rugby season is split into two parts, the first being from February to May each year to cater for the junior rugby, being our Under 7 to Under 11 boys. Thereafter the Colts season kicks off from June to October during which the boys aged from Under 12 to Under 18 participate
